Julian O'Neill,

graduated from Queens University, Belfast in 1978; and underwent his orthodontic postgraduate training at The Eastman Dental Hospital, London, obtaining his MSc in 1987 and M Orth in 1988. He was then a Senior Registrar in Orthodontics at The John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford from 1989 until 1993.

Chairman of the British Orthodontic Society Clinical Effectiveness Committee from 2002 – 2006, he is now a member of the BOS international committee.
He has been a member of the Evidence Based Dentistry Board since 1996.
An active member of The Angle Society of Europe, he also became a member of the European Board of Orthodontics in 2006.
He was elected President of Federation of European Orthodontists in 2010.
Julian has been part of the clinical team involved in the Manchester randomised trials group as well as organising research in his own department.
Having been an auditor for EFOSA in 2008 and 2009, he was elected Secretary in 2010.
He currently works as a Consultant in the Maxillofacial Unit at Kettering General Hospital in England, and also runs his own private practice.
