When was orthodontics recognized as a dental specialty

The orthodontics ,at the moment, is not recognized like specialty in Spain

What is the outline of the national specialists training program (as required by the competent authority)

No EU recognized specialty, however it is waiting for the new government

What is the organization of the delivery of orthodontic care

University. The pre and post graduated student treat orthodontist patients. The government. In different hospitals is beginning to offer some orthodontics treatments.

We have different issues, the more important are: Ortodoncia Española Revista Española de Ortodoncia Ortodoncia Clínica We don’t know exactly the number of orthodontists who arrive to Spain in 2007 from others countries, but we have orthodontists from Germany, France, Italy…etc. Our more important immigration is from South American countries.
